Victory is mine!

TJ and I were successful in our mission to obtain shelter for the 2004-05 school year. We met with a land-lord around 3:00 at the property to be viewed, and we were both favorably impressed by the apartment and the lessor. It was listed as a 3 bedroom, however it's really a 2 bedroom with a sun-room. It has two wall-mounted gas heaters, which Rod, the owner, told us would cut the heat bill in half this winter. One of TJ's former apartments had a couple of those and he told me that that's a fairly accurate estimate. There's new dish-washer (and I'm not talking about an itinerant Mexican kept chained up in the basement.), and a new fridge. He's also replacing windows and extending the back parking lot another 10-12 ft. A swingin' deal, and he offered it all for $1350 each per semester! Unreal. So we just grabbed it up, no haggling involved.

It once again doesn't suck to be me.
