Liar, liar, pants on fire

It Depends What the Meaning of "Relationship" Is - President Bush's Clintonian calibrations on al-Qaida. By Fred Kaplan

This article carefully documents several of Dubya's obfuscations over the last year or so, not outright stating but cleverly suggesting that Iraq, Saddam, and al-Qaeda were all in cahoots. Since such a ploy is so clever, I can't necessarily assume that Bush thought it up, but perhaps he's more clever then I've given him credit for.

A distinction is made between Bush's suggestions and Cheney's method, which is to just lie through his goddamn dentures. My favorite part of the article is the last two sentences, which outright calls the VP a goddamn liar:

"The president is just sneaky. The vice president lies."
