Keeping my trap shut

There are some things you blog about, there are some things you don't. Then there are some things you'd really love to, but don't. We'll say that yesterday was one of those days. Good stuff, yesterday.

Today's challenge: Composing a 30 measure Impressionist piece using six of the seven techniques from this semester's theory:
• strong use of augmented triads
• pandiatonicism
• polychords, polytonality
• parallelism, particularly using extensions
• non-traditional scales (wholoe-tone, octatonic, pentatonic)
• non-functional harmony
• occasional use of modal progressions

This is due by 4:00 PM today. I'll be superman if I can do it and get an A.
