I saw a female red-breasted nuthatch making repeated trips to our suet feeder yesterday, so I've elected her to be the Bird of the Day. She's a cute little bugger, with a short tail, and very reddish underside. She's got a black racing stripe over each eye, and (unlike her male counterpart) her cap is gray. Hopefully she'll make more regular visits.
We've had a good group of birds to the backyard, especially with the addition of the suet... the nuthatches and woodpeckers love that stuff.

Glad to see you're posting again, ya big bear.
It's funny that you should be posting now, everygoalie... as I'm considering getting back into the goaltending fold after a nearly 2 year hiatus!
